Army makes winning start

KATHMANDU, April 28: Tribhuvan Army Club defeated defending champions Golden Gate College 104-69 to register its first win in the ongoing Kwiks Nepal Basketball League held in Kathmandu on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, April 28: Tribhuvan Army Club defeated defending champions Golden Gate College 104-69 to register its first win in the ongoing Kwiks Nepal Basketball League held in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Ram Krishna Ghatane was adjudged most valuable player of the match for contributing 17 points as Army won all the quarters with a score-line of 26-14, 26-17, 25-14 and 27-23.


Similarly, in the other match of the day, Times International College defeated Nepal Police Club 96-61. 

Skipper Sadish Pradhan added 42 points in the match as Times dominated all the four quarters registering the unbeaten scores of 18-13, 26-22, 30-2 and 22-16 to seal the win.
