Child dies after mom poisons herself, kids

BIRATNAGAR, March 28: A child died after her mother poisoned her two children and herself in an apparent attempt to commit suicide. Sabnam Khatun, 20, of Narsingh VDC-4 in Sunsari, reportedly fed up with domestic abuse tried to commit suicide after poisoning two of her children on Wednesday night.



Khatun´s 2-year-old daughter Sakina died in the course of treatment at the Koshi Zonal Hospital Thursday while Khatun and her eight-month-old son Hasbul are in critical condition at the hospital, police informed. [break]



According to District Police Office, Morang, the two children and Sabnam were brought to the hospital after they were found unconscious at their home.
