Conference of Provincial Tourism Ministers in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, August 27: A conference of Tourism Ministers of all seven provinces has begun in Kathmandu today with an objective of revitalizing the country's tourism sector affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

KATHMANDU, August 27: A conference of Tourism Ministers of all seven provinces has begun in Kathmandu today with an objective of revitalizing the country's tourism sector affected by COVID-19 pandemic.  



The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has organized the day-long conference calling tourism ministers of all seven provinces in Kathmandu.

Discussion will be held on the laws and criteria set by the respective provincial governments regarding registration, permission, renewal and regulations of hotel, rafting, travel agency, trekking agency, tourism transport service and tour guide in the conference, according to the ministry.   


Similarly, the conference would also discuss various issues including tourism related rights, federal structure and inter-relation, responsibilities of federation, province and local levels, policies and programmes announced by the budget of the current fiscal year, revival action plan, and tourism infrastructure partnership programme run by local levels.


Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, inaugurated the conference this morning.
