KATHMANDU, May 11: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday shedded 12.53 points to close at 2,649.11 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,661.64 points and peaked to day’s high at 2,692.5 points in the first eight minutes of trading. The market, however, dropped by around 30 points in the next 45 minutes and hovered around 2,663 points for the next over two hours. The market plunged to the day’s low at 2,649.64 points in the last 10 minutes.

Four out of the 13 groups were the gainers, with hotels and tourism index adding the highest of 400.81 points, followed by development bank, trading and life-insurance.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, lost 2.75 points. Daily turnover amount declined to Rs 10.20 billion from Rs 11.65 billion on Thursday.
Among the individual companies, 82 were gainers while 164 were recorded as losers. Radhi Bidyut Company had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 661.07 million.
Sindhu Bikash Bank with a decline of 7.30 percent of its market price was recorded as the highest loser. Nepal Micro Insurance Company and Crest Micro Life Insurance were the topmost gainers.
