Expelled footballers beg pardon

KATHMANDU, March 24: Footballer duo Anil Ojha and Shiva Shrestha, who were expelled from the national football team, have sought for public apology on Wednesday.



Organizing a press conference in the capital, the two self-criticized and sought for an apology towards the abusive expression and debate with the other senior members of the same team after the football match played between Nepal and Bhutan on Saturday in Pokhara. [break]



Anil said, "I am saddened by the incident that occurred with my senior team member Bikash Shrestha. Such mistake will not be repeated in the future. I beg pardon for preserving my sports career from being a shambles in the future."



Similarly, Shiva said he was shameful of the incident. "I myself condemn the verbal accusation and misunderstanding with Jagjit Shrestha", Shiva admitted his mistake.



All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) had expelled the two on the charge of indiscipline over the incident.
