KATHMANDU, Oct 27: Chairman of the CPN-UML and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has celebrated Bhai Tika with his sisters.



On the auspicious occasion of Bhai Tika on Thursday, he received tika from the hands of his three sisters Bishnu Maya Dhakal, Kaushalya Koirala and Bishnu Kumari Poudel. He received tika from his sisters at 11:37 AM on the auspicious time of Bhai Tika in Balkot, Kathmandu.

During a brief response to the media after receiving the tika, Chairman Oli said that the importance of every festival is different and it is necessary to protect and promote every festival. He said that it is now necessary for all Nepali people to preserve and promote the festivals and history that have been preserved for thousands of years.


Similarly, he said that today's time is not for legends, but for facts and figures, so the weak aspects of the festival should be removed. Chairman Oli said that Nepali festivals are important and full of special features and called for their protection.
