Gold, silver prices dip

Gold fell by Rs 2,000 per tola, while silver dropped by Rs 205 per tola.

KATHMANDU, March 12: Prices of gold and silver declined slightly in the Nepali market on Thursday. Gold fell by Rs 2,000 per tola, while silver dropped by Rs 205 per tola.



According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of hallmarked gold was fixed at Rs 317,000 per tola on Thursday, while one tola of silver was priced at Rs 5,515.

On Wednesday, gold had traded at Rs 319,000 per tola, and silver at Rs 5,720 per tola, the FENEGOSIDA said. 


Globally, media reports indicate that gold was trading at USD 5,210 per ounce on Thursday, while silver was priced at USD 88 per ounce.
