DANG, July 21: The Regional Office of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) today caught a government official red-handed taking a bribe of around Rs 160,000 in Dang.
Ram Dulari Sharan Bhagat, engineer at the field office of the Department of Water Induced Disaster Prevention was arrested from his rented apartment at Lamahi Municipality-11 on the same charge.

Bhagat is said to have taken the bribe for helping allocate budget to build embankments in Bhalukhola at Gobardiha VDC-8 in the district, illegally.
Information officer of the CIAA Regional office Chudamani Parajuli said that investigations would be initiated against Bhagat. RSS
