Grace Academy beats Babylon

KATHMANDU: Grace Academy defeated Babylon National School 2-0 on Tuesday in their Kathmandu Valley-wide selection round match of the boys´ section in the Coca-Cola Cup Inter-school Boys´ and Girls´ National Football Tournament.



Anil Shahi and Purna Bahadur Gurung scored a goal each for Grace in the match played at the Sano Gaucharan Ground, Kathmandu. In another match, Ashish Magar scored the lone goal in the 70th minute as Mahendra Adarsha School secured a 1-0 win over Learning Zone Academy. Meanwhile, Valley Higher Secondary School thrashed North East Secondary School 4-0. [break]



 Himal Shahi completed a hat-trick while Eric Bista added another goal. Sirius Higher Secondary School edged past Bauddha Secondary School 5-4 in tie-breaker after a 1-1 draw in the regulation time. Anup Maharjan scored the equalizer for Sirius in the 32nd minute after Bauddha had taken the lead through Laxman Nepali in the 26th minute. Meanwhile, Steiner Academy received a walkover from Mahankal Secondary School in the last match of the day.
