The SC issued the verdict responding to a writ petition filed by Nepal Sadhbhawana Party (Anandidevi) Chairman Sarita Giri and Madhesi leader Khusi Lal Mandal. [break]
The SC said Gupta was nominated by the Girija Prasad Koirala-led cabinet bypassing the recommendation of Sadhbhawana party.
The party had recommended the cabinet to nominate Mandal as a lawmaker.
