SURKHET, Aug 20: A JCB operator was seriously injured after the construction vehicle plunged off a road while clearing an inner road section in Barahatal Rural Municipality of Surkhet on Thursday.
According to police, the accident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. at Nayaban in Barahatal Rural Municipality-7. The JCB, with registration number Bhe 1 Ga 127, fell about 300 metres down the roadside while clearing the road.

The driver, 33-year-old Ram Prasad Lamichhane of Barahatal-5, sustained serious injuries in the accident. He is receiving treatment at Karnali Provincial Hospital in Surkhet.
