KATHMANDU, Aug 2: The entire country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough positioned slightly north of its average location, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
This afternoon, generally cloudy conditions are expected nationwide. There is a possibility of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in many places in the hilly regions, as well as in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and some parts of the Terai region. The MFD has also indicated the possibility of heavy rain in one or two locations in Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini
Tonight, generally cloudy skies are expected across the country. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in many areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in some parts of other provinces. Heavy rain is also possible in one or two locations in Koshi province.
Since heavy rain is possible in one or two locations in Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, the MFD has urged the general public and all concerned agencies to stay updated with the latest weather information.
