POKHARA, March 1: The post-funeral rites for late Minister Adhikari will be performed on the seventh day of his passing, his family sources said.
According to the Hindu tradition, post-funeral rites are performed on the 13th day of passing.

Hence, his last rites will be performed on coming Tuesday.
According to his family sources, the day of post-funeral rituals has been reduced to seven days from usual 13 days as per his wishes.
Adhikari, in his capacity as the minister for culture, had been advocating for bringing down the death rituals to seven days.
