KATHMANDU, April 5: The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has resumed enlisting farmers after a five-month gap.

After being enlisted, farmers are provided with various services and subsidies along with identity cards. Chemical fertilizers, seeds, subsidies, service management, and benefits are provided to the listed farmers, said Mahananda Joshi, Information Officer of the Ministry.

The system has been coordinated with local levels across the country to identify real farmers and collect and record integrated data, including the area of land cultivated by the farmers, the produce produced, and other details.
