KATHMANDU, Nov 27: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday increased 10.43 points to close at 2,676.03 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,665.60 points and initially plunged to the day’s low at 2,659.1 points in the first 15 minutes. The market went through a series of fluctuations and hit the day’s high at 2,678.29 points in the next one and a half hours. In the next one hour, the index again declined by 13 points, while the market recovered around 11 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.
Nepse closes at record high of 1,666 points
Eight groups were the gainers as Hotels and Tourism group escalated 23.97 points in its market index. Of the five losers, manufacturing and processing had its index declined by the largest of 21.40 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies increased 2.43 points. The daily turnover decreased marginally to Rs 6.66 billion from Rs 6.69 billion.
Among the individual companies, 131 were gainers while 121 were recorded as losers. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 401.77 million.
Sagar Distillery Limited was the topmost gainer of 10 percent. Him Star Urja Company Limited witnessed the highest fall of 7.78 percent of its market price.
