NHRC issues Exhumation Guideline 2069

KATHMANDU, June 27: The National Human Rights Commission has issued an ´exhumation guideline 2069´ to dig out the bodies of those buried after extra judicial killings.



Issuing a press release on Wednesday, the NHRC said the guideline was issued in order to investigate into the bodies buried after extrajudicial killing and cater justice to the families of the victims.[break]



Meanwhile, the NHRC has written to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to provide compensation to the squatters evicted from the Bagmati river bank with due evaluation.



Also, the NHRC told the government to manage alternative before evacuating encroached lands and inform the NHRC about it on time.
