NSU students manhandle journo

ITAHARI, Feb 9: Students affiliated to Nepal Students´ Union on Tuesday manhandled Somnath Banstola, who had reached the Janata Multiple Campus in Itahari, Sundari.



Banstola had gone to the campus to cover a news story about a 10-month-old dispute regarding the Free Students´ Union election.



Banstola entered into a verbal altercation with NSU unit president Ramesh Kafle while trying to take a picture of the padlocked office of the campus chief.



He was beaten up by two NSU workers while returning from the campus. After beating him up, the NSU workers kept him in the administration office for half-an-hour.



He was rescued by police.
