One more arrested in connection with Tinkune violence

KATHMANDU, April 24: Police have arrested another individual in connection with the arson and vandalism incident that occurred in the Tinkune area of Kathmandu.


According to police, Minaj Thapa, 40, also known as Manoj and a resident of Dhulikhel, has been taken into custody. He is accused of being involved in the violent protest organized by royalists on March 28, during which both public and private properties were vandalized and set on fire.

District Police Range Kathmandu Spokesperson Apilraj Bohora said that Thapa was arrested on charges of participating in the criminal acts. Kathmandu District Court has granted a three-day extension for further investigation.
