Of the 183 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests conducted at Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj, 127 turned out to be COVID-19 positive, according to the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee. The figure is 69.4 percent of total PCR tests conducted in the past 24 hours.

Despite a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in Nepalgunj, the general public and the authorities concerned seem unaware about the deteriorating COVID-19 situation in the area.

People are largely seen venturing out in groups without adopting proper health protocols against COVID-19.

However, Nepalgunj Sub-metropolis has already decided to stop physical classes in schools and colleges from Sunday after witnessing a surge in COVID-19 cases in students.
