Police arrest two fake candidates for police exam

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: Police have arrested two fake candidates for appearing in the written test of the vacant posts of Armed Police Force personnel through an open competition. The arrested are identified as Nil Kumar Adai, 18, of Dhorpatan Municipality-6 and Sauhard Rai, 27, of Sahidbhumi Municipality-5 of Dhankuta district.

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: Police have arrested two fake candidates for appearing in the written test of the vacant posts of Armed Police Force personnel through an open competition. The arrested are identified as Nil Kumar Adai, 18, of Dhorpatan Municipality-6 and Sauhard Rai, 27, of Sahidbhumi Municipality-5 of Dhankuta district.



Adai was in place of Sunil Pun Magar of Registration No. 31715, who submitted the application form from Armed Police Force, Nepal No. 4 Muktinath Bahini Pokhara whereas Rai was in place of Yogendra Rai of registration number 14420 who submitted application form from Armed Police Force Nepal No. 1 Bahini Pakli.

According to a recently published advertisement, in the written test of the Armed Police Force (APF) personnel for the general category sub-group to be filled through open competition, there was the use of 'Thumb Reader Biometric Device to identify the candidates for the exam. The device helped to identify fake candidates for the exam.


According to the police, further investigation is underway.
