JUMLA, Aug 11: Tension ran high in the district during protests staged against the inclusion of Karnali zone in the far-west province. One protester sustained bullet injuries as police opened fire at agitators in front of District Administration Office.The injured is Chairman of Construction Entrepreneurs Association, Jumla Raj Bahadur Mahat and has been rushed to District Hospital for treatment.
Demonstrators have turned violent following the police action. Earlier, they
vandalized Nepali Congress (NC), Jumla’s party office.
