KATHMANDU, March 6: Sulav Kharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has taken a commanding lead in Rupandehi-2 in the House of Representatives election.
According to the Office of the Returning Officer, as of 10:30 AM, a total of 15,413 votes have been counted. Of the 14,986 valid votes, Kharel has secured 10,519 votes.

Meanwhile, Bishnu Prasad Paudel of CPN-ULM has received 2,193 votes, while Chunnu Prasad Paudel of the Nepali Congress has secured 1,204 votes.
There are a total of 135,050 registered voters in the constituency, of which 86,510 cast their ballots.
