KATHMANDU, April 14: Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has stressed utilization of the New Year as an occasion to foster positive thoughts, fraternity and a healthy life with the initiation of new works.
In his New Year 2083 BS greetings today, Vice President Yadav wished everyone peace, prosperity and happiness. He believed the New Year would encourage all of us to build discipline, stability and positivity. New Year's Day is also a moment to cultivate socio-cultural ownership of the calendar and strengthen tolerance and coexistence.

The Vice President underlined the urgency of a resolution for national unity to cope with problems relating to the economy, health, environmental conservation and climate change. He wished the New Year would inspire everyone to work in a united manner so that constitutional commitments of inclusive representation, good governance and socialism would be realized to cement the federal democratic republic.
Together with the New Year 2083BS, the Vice President extended greetings on the occasion of the Judshital and the Siruwa Pawani festivals celebrated in Tarai/Madhesh and the Biskajatra festival observed in Kathmandu Valley. Such festivals are a reflection of cultural diversity,, which helps foster unity, tolerance and fraternity. They also promote historical tradition.
According to him, the festivals and jatras are not only the original identity of Nepal but also the mediums of social amity and national unity.
