The deceased has been identified as Amrita Pandey of Kathar VDC-7.[break]
The accident took place when a truck (Na 1 Kha 7342) heading towards Narayangadh from Hetauda hit a scooter (Na 12 Pa 9857) driven by Pandey, last night, according to the District Police office, Chitwan.
Pandey died while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.
The body has been kept at the Hospital for postmortem. Police have arrested the truck driver and also impounded the vehicle.
