Agreements be implemented in letters and spirit: Singh

KATHMANDU, May 19:  General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Prakash Man Singh, stressed on implanting the agreements signed by major political parties regarding the state-restructuring, forms of governance and other issues.

Addressing a program on Saturday, he said leaders of the political parties should not deliver any speech going against the agreement, adding there was no alternative to talks and consensus among the political parties as they need to promulgate the constitution in the slated timeframe of the Constituent Assembly.[break]

General Secretary Singh said NC would lead the next consensus government which would promulgate the new constitution.

Adding, his party has joined the current national unity government to create the environment to promulgate the constitution in the slated timeframe.

Similarly, NC Kathmandu district President Bhimsen Das Pradhan said NC should lead the unity government to way out the transitional politics and promulgate the new constitution.
