Heroin-swallowing man nabbed from TIA

KATHMANDU, July 11: Police have arrested Yuvraj Gurung on the charge of attempting to smuggle heroin by concealing it in his abdomen on Saturday.

Gurung was nabbed at around 10:30 am this morning from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) while he was about to leave for Hong Kong through a flight of Nepal Airlines.


DIG Keshari Raj Ghimire, chief of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) at Nepal Police said it was revealed during inquiry that Gurung swallowed 60 capsule of heroin, adding police managed to surgically recover only 35 capsules.  

Soon after arresting Gurung, police raided his house in Boharatar and seized 28 capsules of heroin.
