KATHMANDU, July 15: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) inclined 14 points (0.54 percent), the second-day rise in a row, to close at 2,590.29 points.
The market opened at 2,576.29 points, initially escalating by 24 points in the first 13 minutes. The market hit the day’s high at 2,601.94 points in the first one and a half hours. The market shed around 11 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.
Daily turnover crosses Rs 9 billion as NEPSE gains 24.50 points
The daily turnover amount declined to Rs 4.17 billion, almost half of the trading volume of the previous day. A total of 196 companies increased in value while those of 59 decreased and 19 remained stable.
Except investment and mutual funds, the 11 trading groups gained in their indices. Non-life insurance escalated the largest of 110 points.
Himalayan Bank Debenture 2083 posted the largest transaction of Rs 441.04 million. Corporate Development Bank Limited achieved the highest of 12.90 percent of its market price as Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited witnessed the highest decline of 7.32 percent.
