KATHMANDU, Sept 7: Beni Hydropower Project has issued 863,200 units of its Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) starting Monday for the general public.
This is the first time in the past three months that a public limited company has come up with its primary shares for the public. Earlier on June 11, Sarvottam Paints had opened its IPOs for the public.
All units of Upper Tamakoshi connected to national grid
Beni Hydropower has allocated 2,080,000 units, 20 percent of its issued capital worth Rs 1.04 billion as primary shares. It has floated the primary shares of Rs 86.32 million in general public after allocating shares for project-affected locals, those in foreign employment and for the collective investment fund. According to the company, applications can be submitted by Friday, September 11 at the latest.
Beni Hydropower is operating the Upper Solu Khola Hydropower Project with a capacity of 19.8 MW on Solu Khola in Solukhumbu district. The company has a net worth of Rs 112 per share, earnings per share of Rs 21.17 and accumulated profit of Rs 103.4 million as of January 2026.
