KATHMANDU, June 1: The meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled to take place today (Monday), where discussions on the upcoming budget will begin.
The meeting, set to start at 1 PM, will see Minister for Finance Dr Swarnim Wagle present a proposal to initiate deliberations on the estimates of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2026/27.

Following the minister’s proposal, the HoR will begin discussions on the budget, according to the Parliament Secretariat.
The government had presented the budget for the upcoming fiscal year at a joint session of Parliament on 29 May.
