KATHMANDU, April 7: The South Asia Trade Fair 2026 is set to take place in Kathmandu from May 7 to May 11, 2026, aiming to bring together trade, industry, and service-sector opportunities from across the region. The event will be held at the Exhibition Hall in Bhrikutimandap.
Introduction Trade Shows Nepal Pvt. Ltd. will organize and manage the fair in partnership with Bangladesh’s Ministry of Industry and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB). Supporting institutions include the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Chamber of Industries Morang.
eTicketNepal.com has been named the official online partner, while Biratbazaar will facilitate B2B engagement. The fair will see participation from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
Cooperation for trade
Organizers say the event aims to promote goods and services, assess market opportunities, strengthen connections between buyers and sellers, and boost regional trade ties.
More than 150 exhibitors are expected to take part. The event is projected to draw around 100,000 domestic visitors and about 5,000 international delegates and business participants, according to Fair Coordinator Suman Maharjan.
The exhibition will also work to raise awareness about quality products and highlight export-focused goods. It seeks to encourage businesses to explore new markets through active participation.
Sectors on display will include garments and ready-made items, cosmetics and beauty products, handicrafts, leather goods and footwear, automobiles and spare parts, furniture, agricultural and organic products, information technology, home appliances, health products, food items, and construction, building, and interior design.
The event will also feature B2B meetings, seminars, cultural shows, and entertainment programs. Organizers believe it will open up fresh opportunities for investment and trade growth in Nepal. Businesses interested in participating can join through stall bookings or sponsorship options.
