KATHMANDU, October 12: Nepal defeated the UAE by one run in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier, securing a thrilling victory in its first match of Super Six.
The UAE, chasing a target of 141 runs given by Nepal, made only 139 runs losing nine wickets in the allotted overs.

In the game played at Ali Amerat Cricket Academy, Nepal made 140 runs in 20 overs losing 6 wickets. For Nepal, Asif Sheikh contributed 51 runs, Kushal Bhurtel 28 runs, Rohit Paudel 20 runs, Gulshan Jha 14 runs and Kushal Malla scored 11 runs. The partnership of Bhurtel and Sheikh scored 56 runs for Nepal.
For the UAE, bowlers Junaid Siddiki, Mohammed Rohid, Jahid Ali, Haidar Ali, Harshit Kaushik and Dhruba Parashar Saman took one wicket each.
