KATHMANDU, Oct 20: CPN (UML) Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who was ousted by the Gen Z protest, has claimed that if the current chaos and instability in the country continue, the chance of him becoming prime minister again is very likely.
Speaking at an interaction with editors on Sunday, Chairman Oli expressed strong dissatisfaction with the working style of the current government, saying that its failure has created disappointment in the country.
What next: Midterm elections or a full-term Oli govt?
He said, “If this continues, the possibility of KP Oli returning to the prime minister position increases. The people will not tolerate this. Why will they tolerate this?”
Addressing the editors, Oli said that even the media has failed to properly analyze the current situation.
“You are not grasping the current situation now. But you will write editorials and say, let’s bring KP Oli,” he said.
Indicating the current leaders in the government, Oli said that when the country is unable to run under other leaders, the people will look for an alternative — and that alternative will be him.
