RSP general convention: Four general secy candidates withdraw, back Bipin Acharya

Party leaders said efforts are still underway to reach a consensus among the candidates.

KATHMANDU, June 26: Four contenders for the general secretary post of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have withdrawn their candidacies and extended their support to Bipin Acharya.



Ganesh Parajuli, Kabindra Burlakoti, Pramod Neupane and Jagdish Kharel jointly announced their support for Acharya and appealed for votes in his favor.

Following the withdrawal of four candidates, the race for general secretary has narrowed to five contenders — Bipin Acharya, Manish Jha, Ganesh Karki, Ranju Neupane (Darshana) and Sagar Dhakal.


Party leaders said efforts are still underway to reach a consensus among the candidates.
