Baral was awarded with a purse of Rs 5,555 along with certificate by Sahara Club on Saturday on the occasion of club´s annual general assembly.[break]
Baral associated with the Radio Annapurna and Pokharapatra Dainitk, based at Pokhara, Kaski, was awarded for his contribution to sports through journalism. Meanwhile, Min Bahadur Gurung of the club was give Sahara best member award.
Workshop on diet, nutrition for players
KATHMANDU: National Sports Council (NSC) on Saturday organized a workshop entitled Diet, Nutrition and Sports Psychology for Athlete as part of the preparations for the upcoming 12th South Asian Games (SAG). Players selected from eight different sports disciplines for SAG and their coaches attended the workshop.
During the workshop, NSC Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama distributed medical equipment to the coaches and players. Nutrition and diet expert Sunil Rajbanshi and Diwakar Lal Amatya gave instructions to players about diet and nutrition.
Dr Suresh Raj Shrestha suggested the players to use prescribed medicines only. Doctor Sudarshan Narshing Pradhan spoke on sports psychology.
