KATHMANDU, Feb 25: United Cements Ltd., a subsidiary of the KL Dugar Group, has announced financial assistance of Rs 500,000 for the medical treatment of Sabitra Bhandari (Samba), captain of the Nepali National Women’s Football Team.
The company said it decided to extend support following public appeals for financial assistance after Bhandari sustained a serious knee injury that required medical treatment. The national team captain, who has long led Nepal’s attacking line and earned international recognition for her performances, has been out of action for the past seven weeks, undergoing rehabilitation.

In a statement, the company described Bhandari as “the pride of our country,” noting her contribution to promoting Nepali football on the international stage. It expressed hope for her speedy recovery and return to competitive football following treatment.
