Bhutanese refugees request India government for repatriation

DAMAK, Aug 18: The Bhutanese refugees living in the eastern part of Nepal have requested the Indian government for its initiation to their repatriation to Bhutan.



A representative organization of the elderly refugees on Sunday made such request through email. As many as 125 Bhutanese refugees living at the Beldangi Refugee Camp o Jhapa district requested the Indian government to facilitate their repatriation, said Santa Bir Ghale, Spokesperson of a refugee´s committee. [break]



Mr Ghale further said the Bhutanese refugees made such request to the Indian government in light of Bhutanese Prime Minister´s imminent visit to India.
