As his father Shiva Thapa Magar passed away and mother lacked citizenship, the 23-year-old boxer was having difficulties to acquire the citizenship. Sushil got the citizenship after the Member Secretary of National Sports Council Keshav Kumar Bista validated by visiting the Kathmandu District Administration Office.
