India hosts training course against corruption for Nepali officials

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: 21 officers from Nepal's Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) are undergoing special training courses against corruption in India.

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: 21 officers from Nepal's Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) are undergoing special training courses against corruption in India.



The training is being organized at Gujarat Francis Sciences University (GFSU) AT, Gujarat. The training kicked off from today which will be held for 6 days, according to a press release issued by Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.

Earlier, the first batch of 21 officers from CIAA participated in six-day-long anti-corruption training held on December 16, 2019, at GFSU.


Indian government has been continuously supporting Nepal to minimize corruption and create transparent and accountable government.


The ongoing Anti-corruption training course is a special course designed by CIAA at the request of the Nepal Government.  The course is designed to minimize corruption and create environment of good governance in the country also it focuses on identifying elements of corruption, their effects in the economy and their minimization.  


The training course for 42 CIAA officers is totally sponsored by the Indian government.
