Don't collect money in the name of broadcasting World Cup football tournament: SC

KATHMANDU, Nov 9: The Supreme Court has issued an interim order asking the concerned not to collect any amount in the name of the World Cup football tournament. 



A single bench of Justice Prakashman Singh Raut on Tuesday issued an interim order not to implement the decision of Media Hub to collect Rs 500 per customer for advertisement in the name of the World Cup.

The apex court has called both the parties for a hearing on the matter on November 13. The order comes in response to a writ petition filed by advocate Kishor Paudel to stop the decision of the media hub company, which is against the National Broadcasting Regulations. 


The schedule of the FIFA World Cup football tournament, which will be held in Qatar from November 20 has been announced.
