KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The Election Commission (EC) has announced plans to release the results of the House of Representatives election on March 5 within 24 hours of the completion of voting.
According to Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari, ballot boxes will be collected immediately after voting, and vote counting will begin without delay. “Our plan is to announce the direct election results within 24 hours of collecting the ballots,” he said. Proportional representation results may take one to two days to finalize.

The EC stated that all preparations for the election have been completed, and the implementation phase is now underway. Voting is scheduled from 7 am to 5 pm on March 5.
