KATHMANDU, Oct. 22: LemFi, a financial platform serving people living across borders, has launched a new global brand campaign, “Ambition has no passport,” alongside a redesigned app and its largest product expansion to date, according to a press release issued by the company.
The company has expanded its services beyond international money transfers to include savings and credit services in the United Kingdom and eSIMs covering more than 100 destinations. The expansion aims to help customers manage more of their financial needs through a single platform.
According to the press release, more than two million customers use LemFi to send money to over 30 countries, with monthly transaction volumes exceeding $2 billion. The company plans to expand into additional countries next year.
For people living abroad, building a financial life in a new country can be challenging, as professional qualifications, savings and credit histories often do not transfer across borders. Meanwhile, many continue to support their families and manage financial responsibilities in multiple countries.

“We started LemFi because sending money home was broken. What we learned is that the harder problem starts after the transfer,” said Ridwan Olalere, co-founder and CEO of LemFi, according to the press release.
“Our customers are building careers and businesses in one country while supporting people in another, and the financial system treats them as if they can only exist in one place at a time,” he added.
The expanded platform includes a UK savings account offering a 5 percent annual equivalent rate (AER) for the first six months, after which the rate drops to 3.04 percent AER. Customers can open an account with £1, while eligible deposits are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £120,000.
UK customers can also access a revolving credit line, subject to availability, while eligible users can check their Equifax credit scores for free through the app.
The new eSIM service allows users to purchase mobile data for more than 100 destinations before travelling, without changing physical SIM cards or incurring traditional roaming charges.
Alongside the new services, LemFi has redesigned its app to bring multiple financial products into one account and introduced its new global brand platform, “Ambition has no passport.” The campaign reflects the experiences of people building careers, businesses and families across national borders.
“LemFi started as a way to send money home. Our customers turned it into a way to build a life across borders,” said Isabel Ron-Pedrique, vice president of design and brand at LemFi, according to the press release. “They are not defined by the country they left. They are defined by what they are building.”
Savings and credit services are currently available in the UK, with further expansion planned for other markets. LemFi said its broader platform aims to make managing money and staying connected across borders simpler and more accessible.
