Each year hundreds of people across the country get infected with communicable disease like diarrheal disease, typhoid and others and scores died due such infection.
"Health officials have also been imparting warm up training to the health workers for motivation," said Dr GD Thakur, director at EDCD.
He said that the teams will reached to all districts to study preparedness. "Our health officials have visiting districts. They will also submit reports with suggestion," said Dr Thakur adding, "We will immediately act over the suggestions."
The office said that necessary trainings have already imparted to health workers about the possible outbreak of the disease. Communication channels have been setup in the grassroots levels, through which the center can act immediately and medicines have already been sent to buffer stores.
The office has already issued an alert to all health institutions across the country to be prepared for possible outbreak of the diseases. The office has also asked the health offices to inform it if they lacked manpower.
Dr Thakur said that the office will request the ministry to arrange additional employees at health institutions that have been reeling under manpower shortage. Dr Thakur said that the office will suspend leaves of health workers in the monsoon as usual.
The EDCD said that the office will also impart disaster management training to female community health volunteers (FCHVs), teachers and social workers to minimize the risks. The office said that it will also take assistance of Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) working at the local level.
