Everest Bank signs agreement with Nepse

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) has signed an agreement with Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) for listing its 8 percent debenture. Issuing a statement, the bank said that 600,000 units of 8 percent debentures with face value of Rs 1,000 will be listed in the secondary market for trading. Everest Bank CEO AK Ahluwalia and Nepse General Manager Sita Ram Thapaliya signed the agreement amid a ceremony held on Monday. "Presently the bank is rendering professionalized and efficient banking services through its widest domestic network of 61 branches, five extension counters, 24 revenue collection counters, 83 ATMs and many correspondents across the globe," the statement added.

Citizens Bank appoints Global IME Capital as issue manager


KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Citizens Bank International Ltd (CIBL) has appointed Global IME Capital Ltd as its issue manager for distribution of its rights shares. Issuing a statement, the commercial bank said that its CEO Rajan Singh Bhandari and GICL CEO Paras Mani Dahal signed the agreement amid a ceremony held on Monday. According to the agreement, the Global IME Capital will work as the issue manager to distribute 10:5.5 (55 percent) rights shares that was recently approved by the bank's 9th annual general meeting held in Kathmandu. The rights issue will be worth Rs 1.71 billion, according to the statement.
