ICC Cricket: Netherlands wins toss, elects to bat first against Nepal

Nepal, who recently secured a close one-wicket win over host nation Scotland on Monday, aim to continue their winning form in today’s match.

KATHMANDU, June 4: The Netherlands won the toss and decided to bat first against Nepal in the ICC World Cup League 2 match being held at the Forthill Cricket Ground in Dundee, Scotland.


Nepal, who recently secured a close one-wicket win over host nation Scotland on Monday, aim to continue their winning form in today’s match.

There has been one change in Nepal’s playing XI. Spinner Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi has replaced fast bowler Rijaan Dhakal.


This is the Netherlands’ first match in the ongoing series. The League 2 competition, which includes eight teams, is part of the qualification process for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.

Rohit Paudel (Captain), Dipendra Singh Airee (Vice-Captain), Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Bhim Sharki, Aarif Sheikh, Gulshan Jha, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi.
