The five-day event saw a footfall of more than 300,000.
The event held in association with TP-Link at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall featured 80 brands of 40 companies at the main hall and different ICT products in 92 stalls outside the main hall. [break]
Sovan Sainju, executive member of ICT Association of Nepal (ICTAN) - the organizer of the event, told Republica that they were quite satisfied with how the event had fared. “We succeed in offering a new look and feel to our visitors,” Sainju said. “Branded IT products managed to draw visitors´ attention as our focus was also on branded products.”
Globally renowned brands like Apple, Asus, Benq, BlackBerry, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Motorala, Philips, Nokia, Kaspersky, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and Mistubishi, among others had participated in the event.
Low-priced projects, exchange offers, attractive discounts and new products by ZTE, surveillance system and smart pad along with cordless phone from Siemens Gigaset were the major crowd pullers at the event. Similarly, TV sets by Chi Mei - a Taiwanenese - were the other major attractions.
The association had introduced a new system for entrance under which visitors were requested to fill up online registration form to get an entry-pass. Besides, the expo had allotted separate spaces for brand promotion.
Organizers expressed hope that the expo was beneficial for visitors to get genuine products as well as to get updated with latest products of leading brands.
