More than 2,000 injured from Nuwakot, Dhading, Rasuwa, Sindhupalchowk and the Kathmandu valley underwent treatment for various types of quake-borne injuries at the hospital. A total of 222 Israeli nationals including doctors, nurse and other technicians had arrived Nepal to support with the health services.
Speaking at a function to announce the closure of the hospital, Minister for Urban Development Narayan Khadka and Israeli Ambassador Yaron Mayer thanked the doctors and other members of the Israeli team that served at the hospital as well as in the Search and Rescue team Khadka also thanked the government of Israel on behalf of the government for the generous support at this time of crisis.
Some 700 doctors representing 70 international and 100 national medical teams were mobilized in the treatment of the quake survivors. Most of the international teams have begun returning back home, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. RSS
