KATHMANDU, Nov 22: The weather will be cloudy with chances of light rain in one or two places of the hilly region in the country, the Meteorological Forecasting Division stated.
A press release related to the weather forecast for the next three days that the Division issued today stated that there is the possibility of cloudy condition with light shower in the hilly region.
The weather will be generally cloudy with chances of light rain in some places of the hilly region and it will be largely clear in the remaining areas towards the afternoon today, the Division said.
Light rainfall and snowfall likely in a few places today
Partly cloudy conditions will prevail in the hilly region also during the night and the weather will be generally fair in the rest of the areas. The weather on Friday will be partly cloudy in the hilly region while remaining fair in other parts whereas it will remain generally fair throughout the country on Saturday.
According to the Division’s latest information, the maximum temperature in Kathmandu today was 22 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature stood at 9 degrees Celsius. The highest maximum temperature at 27.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Biratnagar today. Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature today at minus two degrees Celsius.
Increased cold has been experienced throughout the country including in the Kathmandu valley due to the continuation in the last few days of the trend of open sky in the night while the weather becoming generally cloudy during the day time.
Although the minimum temperature in Kathmandu remains constant, it is chilly during the morning and evening. The Division has stated that cold will gradually increase with the change in temperature as it is winter time.
