'Looted' weapons recovered from cave

KHOTANG, Jan. 3: Police found weapons in a cave at Nerpa-6 in Khotang district Monday morning.



A team of security personnel from Nunathula Police Post, on a tip-off, discovered a short machinegun and its magazine and 54 round bullets of home-made guns, all concealed in a jungle. [break]



Police suspected the weapons were looted from the Nunathula post.



Around six months ago, Kirat Janabadi Workers´ Party had looted five home-made guns and its 455 rounds of bullets, one Chinese pistol and its 15 rounds of bullets, communication sets, police dresses and mobile phone sets.
