KATHMANDU, July 30: The Nepali Congress (NC) is set to hold a vote to elect the leader of its parliamentary party (PP) in the Bagmati Provincial Assembly today.
The voting will take place at the NC Bagmati Provincial PP Office in Hetauda. An identity card issued by the Provincial Assembly Secretariat has been made mandatory for the voting.
Great Leadership: A Road Less Traveled
As per the election schedule, candidacy registration will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM. A preliminary list of candidates will be published at 11:30 AM, and candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations until 12 PM. The final list of candidates will be published at 1 PM, and voting will be conducted from 2 PM to 3 PM on the same day.
Vote counting will begin immediately after voting concludes and the results are expected to be announced the same day.
The election is being held following the passage of a no-confidence motion on Tuesday against PP leader Bahadur Singh Lama, who was also serving as Chief Minister.
