Investigators said the deadly fire occurred at the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, a popular spot among local and international tourists in Goa’s bustling nightlife area, after fireworks were set off inside the venue. Most of the victims were staff members. The incident also left 50 people injured, with five still receiving treatment in hospitals.

Police have requested INTERPOL’s assistance to locate and apprehend the Luthra brothers. Following the fire, at least four individuals, including the nightclub’s manager, were taken into custody for questioning.

The club’s bamboo-based structure caused the fire to spread rapidly, trapping many inside and leading to the high number of fatalities.
